Homeland
Season 3 Updates
Homeland exploded back onto our screens late last year with Season 2, and earned itself several awards, including the Emmy for Outstanding Drama Series, and the Golden Globe for Best Television Series (Drama). September 29, 2013, marks the premiere date for Season 3 - a date that couldn't come soon enough. Ah, thrilling, gripping Homeland!
The latest...
January 20, 2013: The Charlotte Observer reports that Homeland Season 3 should start filming in the area "in the last week of May". As for the storyline of the upcoming season, Alex Gansa says "We literally sat down for three hours yesterday afternoon, and that was our first meeting, So I would say the one-word answer would be 'nowhere'." and "If I knew anything about Season 3 I would (give you a tease)". As Gansa begins to open up, he is quoted as saying "In terms of a very long-term plan, I guess all I can say is that Carrie Mathison and Saul Berenson are CIA agents whose job is to keep the world safe from terrorism. So there's a built-in franchise to the show. But, for example, how long Nick Brody is a character, that's an open question right now."
January 19, 2013: TVLine reports that Diego Klattenhoff, who plays Brody's grass-cutting army buddy, will not be returning to Season 3 as a regular. However it is possible that he could be back "in a recurring capacity"
