This Week in Trailers

This Week in Trailers

Each week Film'Stache trawls the internet for the latest and greatest trailers. This week in post-worthy trailers has been slim pickin's, but what's shown below is a load better than every other trailer I've had to watch. Enjoy!

Side Effects

Side Effects: The latest film by Steven Soderbergh (Magic Mike, Contagion, Haywire), Side Effects tells of a woman who's husband is being released from prison, and turns to prescription medicine to cope with the anxiety. That's pretty much the synopsis given at IMDB - the trailer shows a lot more. Rooney Mara (The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo) pretty much plays a crazy lady, and looks to be either developing a fantasy or blackmailing Jude Law. Knowing Soderbergh's other films, I myself am anxious to see it! Australian release date 28 February 2013 [IMDB]

Dead Man Down

Dead Man Down: New York City. Crime lords. Seduction. Retribution. Dead Man Down looks to be all this, and more. The trailer sort of lost me half way and I nearly skipped it, but the ending caught my attention enough to convince me to share! Stars Colin Farrell and the original Girl with the dragon tattoo Noomi Rapace (who seems to be getting better every movie she does!). Australian release date 8 March 2013 [IMDB]

Movie 43

Movie 43: Movie 43, starring everybody. Feels like Valentines Day cross American Pie, and not in a good way. Although I did laugh a few times in the trailer (Halle Berry blowing out the blind kid's candles), I'm calling crap on this one. Australian release date 7 February 2013 [IMDB]

The Call

The Call: Okay, first up, this trailer reveals pretty much everything that happens in the movie and in chronological order. Second, it's un-Googleable (try, you'll need to add a "2013" to the search as there are so many movies named "The Call", and this is the second one this year to be named it). And third, Halle Berry will always be Storm from X-Men. I'll probably only watch this movie when it's out on Bluray. Maybe not even then.. Release date 15 March 2013 (USA) [IMDB]
