Season 6 - Updates
The fifth season of True Blood left us with some major cliffhangers, and I hope y'all have caught up by now. Season 6 will tear into action this US summer (Australian winter), and will contain only 10 episodes, instead of the usual 12, due to Anna Paquin (Sookie) being on maternity leave. February 3, 2013: Hollywood Hills reports that Season 6, Episode 3 of True Blood will be called "Rock Hard Times". Also, according to the casting calls advertised by the show, True Blood will feature a guest character named Beverly Hutt - a 50 year old woman, who is a friend of Sookie's family, who'll answer the questions she and Jason have about their parents. Also called for is a 30 year old version of Hutt, leading to believe that it will be a flashback episode.February 2, 2013: Alexander Skarsgard Fans have released photos from the set of the upcoming series of True Blood. They show Stephen Moyer directing this particular scene, leading the blog to believe that they were filming the first episode of Season 6. The remainder photos bring some insight into the filming of True Blood. Enjoy!
January 22, 2013: More new cast members have joined HBO's True Blood: Rob Kazinsky (Eastenders), who will play a charismatic character named Ben who becomes a love interest for Sookie. Also coming to Bon Temps is Medium's Arliss Howard, who will play Amelia Rose Blaire's character's father - the Louisiana Governor Truman Burrell.
January 21, 2013: Friday Night Lights' Jurnee Smollett and 90210's Amelia Rose Blaire have been confirmed as new cast members, joining True Blood's sixth season. Smollett will play Nicole, a do-gooder who possesses a rosy outlook and always does what's right. Blaire will play Willa, who has long clashed with her father, Louisiana Governor Truman Burrell, over vampire rights.

January 15, 2013: Spoiler TV reports that there will be a guest-starring role of a prostitute who lets vampires feed on her for money.
January 14, 2013: True Blood's new showrunner Mark Hudis has let slip some details of the upcoming season. The Vault reports on the main cliffhanger of Season 5 in an interview with Mark Hudis, "Certainly he's not going to be the Bill we know and love," "He's going to have more bite, no pun intended." He also gave us a few things we can expect in the next season, including more global vampire politics, bringing the characters back to Bon Temps (thankyou!), and that Sookie and Jason will spend the season looking for the mysterious Warlow.
August 27, 2012: Capping off Season 5, HBO have released a teaser bonus scene for Season 6 (see below). In typical True Blood fashion, it looks like a continuance from where we left off with Season 5. Looking forward to vamps exploding like water balloons next year!
